The automatic B-class sedan has just officially launched with a price of only 250 million VND, cheaper than the Hyundai Grand i10 and Kia Morning.

Recently, Indian car company Tata Motors launched the new generation Tigor B-class sedan with two versions: XZA and XZA+. Vehicle prices range from 88,500 – 95,500 Rupees (about 250 – 270 million VND). This super cheap price makes A-class cars like Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10 wary.

With the new AMT option, the CNG version of the Tigor now has a 5-speed manual transmission option as well as a 5-speed automatic transmission option. This update makes them the first CNG cars at the Indian plant to be offered with an automatic transmission. Customers can pre-order for an amount of 21,000 Rupees (about 60 million VND).

The infotainment system on the new Tata Tigor includes: 7.0-inch touchscreen, semi-digital instrument cluster, 8-speaker setup and automatic air conditioning.

In terms of safety, the new Tigor is offered with a parking camera with rear sensors, fog defroster, tire pressure monitor and dual front airbags. Currently, Tata Motors’ CNG portfolio includes Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and Punch models.

Under the hood, the Tata Tigor is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 85 horsepower and 113Nm of torque when using gasoline. In CNG mode, the engine produces 72 horsepower and 95Nm of torque.

As mentioned earlier, transmission options for the CNG-powered Tigor include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic transmission. According to Tata, CNG automatic vehicles will improve low-speed driving in slow-moving traffic conditions and when dealing with stop-and-go traffic.

In addition, the Indian car company also introduced new color options for the low-cost sedan Tigor. Along with the existing colors, Tigor now has a new Meteor Bronze color option.
